Cookie Notice
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit houseritual.co.uk. We use essential cookies to keep House Ritual working. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our website and improve the experience. We do not currently use advertising cookies or personalised advertising trackers.
| Type | What it does | Your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you logged in, secures payments, remembers your booking as you go, remembers your cookie choice | Always on: the site cannot work without them |
| Functionality | Not used | Nothing to switch on: your home and booking details are kept in your account |
| Analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Counts visits and measures how pages are used — for example which pages are viewed and whether visitors go on to book. Provided by Google. Data is kept for 14 months and is not used to identify you by name. | Off until you say yes: choose Accept analytics, Reject or Customise on the cookie banner, and change your mind any time below |
| Advertising or tracking | Not used | We will ask for your consent before ever using these |
Analytics cookies in detail
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies such as _ga (distinguishes visitors, kept for up to 2 years) and _ga_* (remembers your session, kept for up to 2 years). These collect pseudonymous usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, home address or postcode to Google Analytics.
Google Analytics information is processed by Google on our behalf. Because Google is based in the United States, this information may be transferred outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on whichever approved safeguard applies to that transfer — for example the UK-US Data Bridge, where Google’s certification covers the transfer. See Google’s privacy policy and Google Analytics’ data safeguards for details.
Your choices
We ask for your consent before setting analytics cookies. You can accept or reject them on the cookie banner when you first visit, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the control below. Rejecting analytics cookies never affects signing in, booking or paying. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop booking and logging in from working.

Stripe sets its own cookies at checkout to prevent fraud. See Stripe’s privacy policy for details.
